Nemo's front elephants just about ready for molds. You'll notice the trays underneath each one to help catch run off These have been really tough to do and to do two and get them very close to the same was even worse........To do one only would have been fairly simple. You will notice each trunk turns into the grille of the car. After I made one I had to measure it and alter the 2nd as I went to keep things in scale. These elephants will get several coats of silicone "mask" molding material and then a hard backer material made of fiberglass material.
These will then be cast in a rotational caster to make them hollow and lightweight. I am hoping once these are done things will move along much quicker. All of the artwork sculptures are complete. I have to mold all of them and check for fit and attachment. Then they will be cold sprayed in a pewter-aluminum mixter that I will have to buff and polish. I then plan to store each piece wrapped in plastic as I finish the car. Thanks for keeping up with the car project. I am just starting my 3rd year on this car part time.
